Living Arts Canberra acknowledges and celebrates the First Australians on whose traditional lands we live, and we pay respect to the elders of the Ngunnawal people past and present.
Living Arts Canberra is a Canberra based, not for profit arts media organisation, established in 2018.
LAC founders and principals, Barbie Robinson and Richard Scherer, have lived and worked in Canberra for more than 40 years in media, communications, arts and education fields. We espouse a strong ethic of commitment to the community and have an especial interest in and passion for arts and culture.
We value open-minded progressive thinking, professionalism, diligence, enthusiasm and integrity. We are proud advocates of the Canberra community – thinking globally, acting locally. We are content-driven but grateful to live in an age where technology can link us with people across the globe.
The LAC website, podcasts and internet radio station offer a voice for artists, arts organisations and community goodwill organisations. Here are some of the things you can do to get your message out:
- If you are a writer or artist of any kind contact us for an interview, which we will organise and air on LACE radio and/or as a podcast on the website.
- Upload your event to the EVENT CALENDAR using our web form.
- Invite us to your event. We’ll come if we can and cover it on one or more of our platforms.
For community organisations, service and special interest clubs – if you’d like to spread the word, invite new members, publicise your regular or special events, please contact us and we will organise to record a radio spot of up to 15 minutes which you write about yourself. This will air on rotation on LACE radio and can be updated on a regular basis.
Contact us if you’d like to get involved for example by providing written or spoken reviews or in presenting a radio program. We are very happy to discuss your ideas and welcome new like-minded people aboard.
